New beginnings

One of the reasons I have been so busy of late is because I landed a new job in late March, and was working on a big spring/summer digital fashion event right up until I left my role at Westfield London. Long hours and no weekend = no blog!

I had an amazing 2.5 years, and was lucky to work with a large group of people I now call friends. Colleagues are a unique relationship because at the end of the day, I spend more time at work than I do with friends or family! We survived many film premieres, celebrity appearances, fashion events and a certain teenager called Justin Bieber*.

As a farewell gift I received a beautiful Mulberry pink passport cover (far nicer than the awful navy blue plastic Australia one!) plus candles and perfume from Jo Malone to add to my collection. My favourite part of the gift? My card. It was full of mini essays from people who know me far too well.

My new role is for a lovely British heritage brand which I'll share with you soon (if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you have probably already guessed who). NHG x

*I'm still traumatised.

Sandro Joyeuse Skirt

I've written about my mild obsession with French label Sandro before, and currently have four of their dresses on high rotation depending on the weather.

This season's collection is no different - I could literally buy the whole store! I've already purchased two items, one being the Joyeuse Skirt which I spotted in their look book a few months ago.

Do you have a brand that you purchase from again and again? NHG x

Outfit details: Cream blazer, H&M; black t-shirt, COS; Joyeuse skirt, Sandro; Too hot to handle tote, Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Equipment polka-dot shirt

Hi, my name is De and I have an addiction to The Outnet.

I've snapped up more items on the The Outnet this year than any other retailer - their sales are just too good! Equipment, Alexander Wang, Sonia Rykiel, Temperley are just some of the brands I've purchased...

I'm now officially in rehab, but one of the last items I purchased was an Equipment silk polka-dot shirt.

I also own a white and black lace Equipment shirt which I love! Both were 60% off so it's worth keeping your eye out for their sales. See their current Equipment stock here.

Do you love Equipment shirts? NHG x

eBay sale

I'm having a little eBay sale at the moment (as I regularly do) and am regrettably selling these beautiful gold glitter heels from Zara. As I'm still in the process of removing my tattoo I can't wear them, so my loss is your gain! They are a UK 4/EUR 37. NHG x

See my eBay sale here.

Amsterdam, part 1

Firstly, I have to apologise for dropping off the blogosphere this past month! Life has been a little crazy, so let's start back at the beginning...

Mr Porter and I spent a glorious weekend in Amsterdam at the end of March when we all thought Europe was being blessed with an early summer. To be honest, we didn't really see any of the tourist sights - not even some of the museums we wanted to visit. When you've only got two days to explore, lining up in a queue for any long period of time seems a waste, and the weather was simply too good to be indoors!

Instead, armed with Amsterdam: Made By Hand by Australian stylist Pia Jane Bijkerk, we quite simply got lost in Amsterdam's backstreets.

How do you prefer to travel? Do you like to tick off the sights or do you prefer to wander? NHG x

Outfit details: Trench coat, APC; sunglasses, Chanel; denim shirt, pink jeans, floral top, all Topshop.
