My love of French Pharmacy products is still continuing and I've been meaning to post what I bought when I was in Corsica back in August (naughty blogger!). I realised I was spending a small fortune on beauty products in summer so I've been trying to cut back and only replace what I need...considering I'm currently using three different cleansers, it's not going well. My collection of Nuxe products keeps growing and I absolutely LOVE this brand. Their products are divine and such good value. If you come across it, I highly recommend trying.
What I'm currently using:
Nuxe Body Lait Fluide Corps 24 Hr Moisturising Lotion - this is now my absolute favourite body moisturiser. I used to stock up on Sephora's body milk whenever I visited France as it's light, but this smells divine and is moisturising without being heavy or sticky.
Nuxe Crème Fraîche de Beauté - I first tried this as a sample and love it, so I bought the full size. It's a light formula and has a mousse consistency. It doesn't make my skin oily and is available in a light version. If you have dry skin, this probably isn't for you. It best for normal/combination skin.
Nuxe 3 Roses Gentle Aromatic Exfoliant - I have only just started using this and really like it. Like the Fondant Body Scrub I use, it has walnut grains to gently exfoliate your skin. It doesn't smell like roses strangely - it's more like a nutty, essential oil smell.
Nuxe Rive de Miel Gentle Cleansing Gel - I really love this, and prefer it to the 3 Roses Foam Cleanser! It gets my make-up off and it's a lovely creamy consistency. It includes honey, lime-blossom and peach so it smells nice too.
Lierac Paris Demaquillant Velours Cleansing Oil - I've loved cleansing oils ever since using Shu Uemura's purifying cleansing oil. I decided to try this and I like it, although I don't use it everyday. It is excellent for removing every trace of make-up, so I use it if I'm wearing heavy make-up. There is no need for an eye make-up remover afterwards, however I find cleansing oils require a good moisturiser afterwards as they are slightly drying (good for oily skin funnily enough!).
Bioderma Crealine TS H20 Make up Remover - This is probably the most popular (and well-known) French Pharmacy product and I've read many rave reviews before purchasing it. I've never been a fan of eye make-up removers as they always hurt my eyes. I tend to just use good ol' Ponds Cold Cream or use my skin cleanser with a face washer (this doesn't work with a foam I should add, which is why I prefer gels). This really is an excellent product. It's gentle and doesn't hurt my eyes at all! Make-up artist Lisa Eldridge swears by it for removing model's make-up without stripping their faces. Definitely recommend it!
You can buy Nuxe, Caudalie and Lierac on lookfantastic.com and feelunique.com.
