I don't know about you, but I need a break from the blazer. I have about six of them, all in different colours, and this season I've ditched them for the jumper (or sweater as it's know in the US).
I've worn jumpers in place of a blazer twice this week, and both times I've received compliments. One colleague even asked, "Do you mind if I copy you?" so I'm hoping to get everyone into the comfortable, winter vibe by next week! ;)
I thought there was a slight risk that people would think I'd turned up in my weekend outfit, but with a statement necklace, the look isn't too casual. I don't normally wear heels, but adding a pair would really pull together the look for a more formal office...especially with a lovely cashmere number. It's a whole lot more cosy than wearing a blazer, and you can wear over a dress, with a skirt or trousers.
I don't own many skirts (I'm a dress girl) so by adding the jumper, you can instantly change the whole look of a dress too (bonus!). What do you think? Will you be wearing glammed up jumpers this season? NHG x
Outfit details: Blush pink jumper, COS; bird print dress, French Connection; suede wedge boots, Zara; black wool coat, Whistles; flower necklace, Mimco, Bayswater bag, Mulberry.

I love my winter jumper, I wear it over dresses all the time, a great winter accessory
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely colour - love that blush pink.
ReplyDeleteYou always look so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou look quite like Isla Fisher inthses pics.
Lovely outfit, I definitely need some new jumpers, I spotted a lovely one in Whistles yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI am very much a cardi girl but I have been trying to buy jumpers instead of late as I have way too many cardis but never any jumpers when I want one.
ReplyDeleteI do think that jumpers are more casual than cardis but you have proved here that they can work perfectly well in the office environment.
I also have to add that I do like a man in winter wearing a smart jumper with his suit :)
Love this outfit, that coat is gorgeous!

When the weather starts getting chilling in the UK (oh, who are we kidding... it's ALWAYS jumper weather in the UK!) a blazer just can't provide the cosiness required! Love the pink!

Love this look - I am wearing a lot of "sweaters" (I'm the US, I have to go with this word now!) with my longer maxi skirts and I've had some lovely compliments too.
