It's officially coat season here in London and this oxblood red coat with leather trim from Topshop is the latest edition to my 'coat wardrobe'. Yes, I seriously have a coat wardrobe! I share it with Mr Porter, but it's an entire wardrobe dedicated to outerwear as owning one coat is never enough here...I've added at least two coats to the wardrobe every autumn for the past four years so it's getting rather full.*
The dress is one of two Sandro dresses I've purchased so far this season. I am obsessed with Peter Pan collars and anything with leopard print detailing, so as soon as I spotted it in their look book, I knew I had to get it. Lucky for me, I purchased the last one (which happened to be my size) in a Sandro boutique in Paris.
Do you buy a new coat each season or do you recycle from previous seasons? NHG x
*I have donated one or two to charity along the way.

You look gorgeous. Love the coat, love the leopard peter pan collar.
ReplyDeleteThe coat is very nice and I campletely share your passion for Peter Pan collars! I live in a pretty cold country (Belgium...) and when is really freezing, I rather prefer wearing a down coat and I found the perfect one in the shape of Max Mara's Cube (http://www.welcomethecube.com/), very warm and very chic at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI love your coat. It's so perfect for fall and winter. I try to re-use my coats since I refuse to buy cheap but cute coats only to regret after freezing.

Lovely coat, love the colour. Despite living in a particularly cold part of the UK I don't often buy new coats, although thinking about it I've probably bought one a year for at least the last 4 years (and still like wearing all of them)
ReplyDeletegreat outfit, can I ask were your boots are from?
ReplyDeleteHi Helena, my boots are Ash 'Jalouse' boots. Unfortunately they are sold out now but they have similar styles available. NHG x
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for so long - it's gorgeous!!

That's a lovely rich colour for winter. I buy a new coat most winters that I can afford it, but recently I invested in two coats from Reiss that I hope will stand up to the test of time. I have a military style coat (one of my very first blog posts!) that I still wear all the time because I love the style. Lapels and gold buttons, I love it.

Love the leopard print collar just peeping out. I love the animal print trend but a scarf, collar, or shoes is just enough! Only just stumbled across your blog

I love the leopard print collar! it's so cuteee! x
ReplyDeleteIn preparing for my first real winter in NYC, I have gone from having one (Melbourne appropriate) coat to about four (NYC suitable) coats in the space of four weeks... I've joked already that we'll need to move out of our tiny West Village apartment to accommodate them all! love the colour of your latest acquisition.
