I have always admired leopard print from afar but never dared to go near the trend until Spring/Summer this year when I decided that I actually love the print and bought a pair of Topshop leopard print harem pants as featured here.
I really wanted to invest in a printed coat this winter but with a modern spin on it. I've bought a few leopard print pieces in shades of grey including a silk Whistles top which I love, so when this Reiss 1971 grey leopard coat came out in Autumn I knew that I had to have it. At £225 I thought it was too expensive (considering it's fabric blend) but lucky for me it ended up going on sale for only £90 just before Christmas and I snapped it up! I love it when that happens...NHG x
Outfit: Leopard print coat, 1971 Reiss; Purple scarf, Witchery; Black Rat leggings, Sass & Bide; Ring, Topshop; Vintage leather clutch, Ebay; Nail Polish, Rimmel.

That coat is gorgeous. I love it when something you've wanted for ages goes in the sale AND it's not sold out! x
ReplyDeleteI know, very rare that it happens for me! It was like it was meant to be :) x
ReplyDeleteI love that coat. I like that the color is more of grey vs. "traditional" leopard print. Such a fun look!! The nail polish color is great, too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coat! It's much more elegant and easy to wear & match than the usual leopard print. And I love the color association with the purple scarf.
ReplyDeleteTHAT COAT! I love it. I have such a soft spot for animal prints. It looks great with the purple scarf xx
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same way - I love leopard, but I only ever want it in small doses. I think all I own at the moment is my Louis Vuitton leopard scarf (which I've ben wearing practically every day each winter since I bought it 4 years ago) and a pair of ponyskin leopard pumps. That said, I've been hunting for the perfect faux leopard fur this winter - I keep dreaming about how cosy it would be, but am yet to find one that doesn't look cheap on me.
ReplyDeleteLove your Reiss version!

Love the coat, I tried it on but somehow managed to resist. It looks great with the purple scarf and nail polish.
ReplyDeleteI was fondling this beautiful, beautiful coat only last week, but decided - as my wardrobe could be mistaken for Bet Lynch's - to walk away without making the purchase.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures make me think that I have made a BIG, MASSIVE, WHOPPING mistake! ;0)
